The University Library has been in operation since 1948. The University Library contains the following resources for your convenience.
The Library collection includes one million publications in various formats: - 650,000 books; - periodicals, audio-visual, compact discs, microfilms, microfiche, CD-ROMs; - in addition to publications in Belarusian and Russian and 130 foreign languages (approximately 400,000 ).
Resources in the social sciences are also included in this collection: philology, educational psychology, economic philosophy, culture studies, and country-specific studies. Reference materials consist of encyclopedias, reference books, and dictionaries representing various world languages.
The Library takes pride in its collection of rare and valuable books: foreign language publications with original autographs by the author, imprinted seals illustrating authentic ownership or plated book covers, and works by contemporary writers and prominent scholars in the sciences and humanities. The Library offers the following faculties to its readers: - A card catalogue system and card indices; - An electronic catalogue; - Subscriptions; - Four reading rooms; - Five university department libraries; - An Austrian Library; - Information Resource Centers in the languages and literatures of Belarus, Spain, Italy, China and Turkey.
