Master`s Degree Program

MSLU Master's Degree Program admits graduates with a degree in "Modern Foreign Linguistics" and other relevant linguistic or lingua-pedagogical degrees.

Training is full-time covering the following areas:

19.00.07 Pedagogical Psychology Students' training for a Master's degree program (graduate studies) is free. Higher educational institutions, colleges and other public educational institutions provide applicants with jobs after graduation, which must be documented. The documents confirming an applicant's future position must be submitted to the office responsible for a Master's degree program (graduate studies).

The Master's degree course admits residents of the Republic of Belarus, citizens of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarussians living abroad. Those citizens of the Republic of Belarus who have not won the competition during entrance examinations can be admitted to a Master's degree program in excess of the admission norm on terms of paid education, unless they are young specialists. Citizens of foreign countries study on a contractual basis or on terms of intergovernmental agreements. More detailed information on the rules of foreign citizens' admission to a Master's degree program may be obtained from the MSLU International Relations Office (tel. 2848067).

Applicants seeking for a Master's degree program (linguistic studies)take the following examinations:
- an examination in their major subject, which may include:
- an examination in theory of their major foreign language;
- an examination in Foreign Literature. Applicants seeking for a Master's degree program (pedagogical studies)take examinations in:
- Pedagogy Studies;
- Psychology;
- Methods of teaching.

Applicants are to be interviewed on their major foreign language and their future research theme.
Applicants without bachelor's degrees take an additional examination in Bachelor's Training Program.
Applications (form #1) are submitted to the application commission. They are to be addressed to the rector with the indication of the selected speciality and expected area of research.

Papers to be enclosed with the application are as follows:
- a photocopy of a higher education diploma;
- a photocopy of a bachelor's degree diploma;
- a photocopy of the applicant's grade list;
- opinion of the research advisor (form #2);
- 2 photographs (3 by 4 cm);
- autobiography;
- X-ray test certificate.

Preference is given to:
- applicants with a bachelor's degree;
- applicants with a specified assignment from a higher educational institution;
- applicants with at least 2 years of experience in the area of their specialization;
- applicants having diplomas with honor.

Entrance examinations and interviews are conducted from June 28 to July 2 The University Application Commission (UAC) is entitled to resolve any controversial issues, should they arise.
